The Law of Averages

Books unread, e-sold,
Minds milled,
i-researched,
Assigned, ungrouped,
Ignorant yet unhurt.
Some impudent impostors,
Charlatans.

Education today.

  1. I am old enough to remember when it was not this bad. In those days one could fight for creativity and occasionally have it recognised and rewarded. The only goal is regurgitation (with references of course).; individuality or originality will earn a fail grade.

  2. very pungent lines…reflective thoughts from a learned academic…every word is impregnant with profound meanings

  3. I am so happy to find some poetry on this very important topic. We have reached the critical point of being “dummed down” (forgive my slang)
“minds milled” a very profound and frightening line – brilliant poem!
