On Her Sadness

Did you, amidst the white sleet-

Hear the rhyme of the rain,
Breathe the wet wiped air in strain,
See the leaves dance, wet and stoic,
Spring- jump, stay unsteady in frolic,
Cling on to the hope of the roofless refugee…?

In hopeless snow strewn sorrow, you missed it.

Listen, endearing tales are due again,
Wipe off your pain.
Break your stony silence-
I can no more be in endurance!

  1. Yes. The stony silence must be broken. For though it is winter outside my window, it is spring within my soul.
Lovely style of writing! The words echo feelings so deep.
